Introduction
Babita Shivdasani-Kapoor, popularly known as Babita or Babita Kapoor (born 20 April 1947), is a retired Indian actress who acted in Hindi-language movies. Sadhana Shivdasani, an actress currently working, is the first cousin of actor Hari Shivdasani's daughter. Her turning point came in the romantic thriller Raaz (1967), where she co-starred with Rajesh Khanna after her promising debut in the movie Dus Lakh (1966).
She played the lead role in nineteen movies between 1966 and 1973, including the highly successful Dus Lakh (1966), Farz (1967), Haseena Maan Jayegi and Kismat (both in 1968), Ek Shriman Ek Shrimati (1969), Doli (1969), and Kab? Kyoon? Aur Kahan? (1970), Banphool (1971), and Kal Aaj Aur Kal (1971). She appeared in Jeet and Ek Hasina Do Diwane in 1972 after marrying actor Randhir Kapoor in 1971. After her next film, Sone Ke Hath (1973), was unsuccessful at the box office, she gave up acting. The actresses Karishma and Kareena are the daughters of Babita and Randhir Kapoor.
